Tourist couple find human head on Natadola beach in Fiji

A tourist couple from New Zealand stumbled across a human head on Natadola beach, a Fiji tourist beach, when they spotted a “bundle” wrapped in green cloth submerged about knee-deep in the waters.

Businessman, Graeme Bickley recalled, suspicions of his wife & he were aroused because a host of body parts, washed ashore over the past fortnight. Mr Bickley further added he “wasn’t game” to open the round bundle, which was tied with nylon rope, but authorities who interviewed him confirmed it contained a head.

Fiji police this week said DNA tests showed the body parts belonged to Russian couple Yuri and Natalia Shipulin, who went missing. Police believe the Russians, who had reportedly been in Fiji since 2011, were murdered and dismembered.

Local media reported this week that detectives had information a chainsaw was missing from a farm the couple were running on the main island of Viti Levu.

Their business partner Andrew Luzanenko told the media they had financial difficulties after the farm was devastated by Super Cyclone Winston this year.

The murder mystery had gripped the island nation known for it's serene beauty. Navy divers were expected to resume a search for more body parts off Natadola beach.
